Heerle, The Netherlands

Situated in three buildings near the Belgium border and close to major population centers and space integration centers, the Bradford site in Heerle, Netherlands is the largest of our sites with the most diverse set of activities. The Heerle site is a fully operational facility with on-site design, engineering, production and both electrical and mechanical test capabilities. The site also has ample clean room, machining and production planning spaces. We also support in-house development for mechanics, software and electronics. The Heerle site provides management and integration oversight for the ECAPS line of propulsion systems as well as marketing, business development and admin for Bradford’s European operations. Products supported at this site include our AOCS line (sun sensors and reaction wheels), propulsion subsystems (pressure transducers, flow control units, cool gas systems and other subsystems), avionics and thermal subsystems as well as the Bradford Workspaces product line.

The Luxembourg operation, based on the new campus of the University of Luxembourg near the French border, is responsible for the design and production of our deep-space avionics and Comet water thrusters. Featuring a hybrid engineering model that captures the dynamic innovation spirit of the "NewSpace" market while also adhering to a quality-driven foundation to provide confident reliability of products, they are creating cutting-edge yet affordable and easy-to-integrate smallsat propulsion and spacecraft control electronics.

A multifunctional team, responsible for both development and manufacture, allows for robust development and rapid iterations of hardware and software. Being co-located and multifunctional allows for design for test and design for manufacture principles to be strongly applied.

Located in the center of American finance, trade and entertainment, Bradford anchors its activities in the United States in the “city that never sleeps”. Primary business development, customer relations and contract administration are located here.

Bradford Space New York is the primary interface with U.S. aerospace companies, Silicon Valley startups, NASA centers and other agencies within the U.S. government. The New York office also coordinates with a Bradford Space systems engineering and spacecraft development center currently located in the Seattle, Washington area. Planning has been initiated for a further production site in the Southeast U.S.

When needed Bradford also works with aerospace design and manufacturing affiliates located in the New York City area, as well as in Rochester, New York; Cheshire, Connecticut and Portland, Oregon.
