Product description
The Cold Gas Propulsion System (CGPS) series consist of a range of units to enable xenon, nitrogen, helium and Freon pressure control to the connected ion engine Flow Control Unit (FCU) or down stream cold gas thrusters.
Abbreviated functional explanation
A CGPS contains a primary and redundant branch and is equipped with serial inhibit flow barriers and additional feedback and monitoring sensors to determine and/or correct performance over lifetime. Branch isolation is performed by upstream latch valves. Stable pressure control is provided by a mechanical pressure regulator. Additional thermal hardware ensures that the propellant remains within an acceptable temperature range or counteracts propellant expansion effects.
Missions
The design makes the CGPS suitable for state of the art earth observation and/or scientific missions.
