Life Science Glovebox

The Life Science Glovebox (LSG) is the current flagship of glove box technology. With a work volume of 450 litres, temperature control, adjustable illumination, habitat attachment mechanism, avionics air assembly, and a water distribution system, it is the largest and most complex space glove box systems ever developed, build, and successfully qualified.

The LSG was developed for JAXA under a JAXA/NASA barter agreement, with Boeing as the prime contractor responsible for system-level activities, and Moog Bradford as developer and supplier of all LSG-related hardware. The LSG was intended for the cancelled ISS Centrifuge Accommodation Module (CAM).
