The Proportional Micro Thruster / Flow Control Valve (PMT/FCV) is a proportional valve for flow and/or pressure control for xenon and nitrogen propellants.
Abbreviated functional explanation
The PMT/FCV design is based on a solenoid actuator and a soft seal. This combination ensures excellent sealing and control capabilities. A separate feedback signal is required (flow sensor, pressure transducer or other) when closed loop control is required.
Missions
The PMT/FCV is used in Moog Bradford Flow Control Units.
