The Galileo IOV was launched at October 21st
The 21st of October was a historic moment: the first Soyuz launch from a spaceport outside Baikonur in Kazakhstan or Plesetsk in Russia.

The first two Galileo IOV satellites, launched this month, will be followed in 2012 by two more. This quartet of satellites, built by a consortium led by EADS Astrium Germany, will form the operational nucleus of the full Galileo satnav constellation.
On the Galileo IOV will be 1 Pressure Transducer and 4 Sun sensors (2 Fine Sun Sensors and 2 Coarse Sun Sensors) from Bradford.
