Bradford has signed the contract with Astrium-Stevenage for delivery of 5 Pressure Transducers

The pressure transducers are going to be used for high pressure and low pressure monitoring of the RCS system during its four year lifetime. The RCS for EarthCare is a Semi-Regulated system that will operate in regulated mode during initial phase of the mission and switch to simple blowdown mode towards the EOL.

The EarthCARE program is developed as the third Earth Explorer Core Mission of the ESA Living Planet Program line. The mission of EarthCARE is to improve the understanding of clouds/aerosols interactions and to provide data for climate and numerical weather prediction models.
