Hispasat Advanced Generation 1
Abbreviated description
The first small European geostationary platform (SGEO) mission based on the OHB Luxor satellite platform will be launched with a payload for the Spanish satellite operator Hispasat as Hispasat Advanced Generation 1. Hispasat AG1 will be placed in a geostationary orbit at 0° East, where it will supply Spain, Portugal, the Canary Islands and South America with multimedia services. The satellite will have 24 Ku-band and 3 Ka-band transponders. The operator will be integrating Hispasat AG1 in its existing fleet of geostationary communications satellites.
