Astrosat 250
Abbreviated description
The AstroSat 250 platform, Astrium's newest generation of small agile satellites, is designed for low earth orbit missions. It is based on a generic platform with a new computer, a new generation star tracker and a gyroless attitude and orbit control mode running at 16Hz (based on the star tracker and control moment gyro actuators). The new French earth observation satellites (SPOT 6&7) will make use of this platform.
