Orbital ATK’s Antares launch vehicle successfully returned to flight, placing the Cygnus CRS-5 spacecraft into orbit. Bradford contributes hardware to each of Orbital ATK’s Cygnus spacecraft.
The Cabin Fan Assembly (CFA) ensures ventilation of the pressurized cargo module while docked to the ISS. Three Standard Accuracy Pressure Transducers (SAPT) provide pressure monitoring of the cabin pressure.
The Cygnus CRS-5 is carrying cargo and supplies to the International Space Station under NASA’s Commercial Resupply Services (CRS) program. The Antares lifted off from its launch pad at the Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia, USA on October 17 at 23:45 hrs GMT (01:45 hrs CEDT on October 18th).
