Single Launch with Bradford Components on Five Satellites

The European light launch vehicle Vega performed its seventh flight on September 16, carrying five satellites into orbit. Although the satellites are for two different operators, all five satellites carried Bradford produced components!

Perusat-1 is an Earth observation satellite built for the Peruvian military by Airbus Defence & Space based on their AstroBus-300 platform. Bradford contributed a Coarse Sun Sensor to this satellite.

The four other satellites, SkySat-4 thru -7, are nearly identical to each other. These are four commercial Earth observation satellites owned by Terra Bella, a Google Subsidiary. Each 120 kg satellite has been built by SSL and Bradford provided a Standard Accuracy Pressure Transducer (SAPT) to the propulsion subsystems of each satellite.
